When was the work done?
The work was done in 2010. What was involved?
I wanted to be able to get two cars in my driveway so I had the old driveway, wall and garden pulled up and imprinted concrete put down in its place. I also had new gates installed. Sean didn't do that part of the project but he did recommend and arrange for someone very good to do that for me.
How did you choose Caseys Concrete?
A girl who lives around the corner recommended Sean to me. She had used him and was very happy with what Sean had done for her. I had spoken to two other people about the work but they tried to talk me out of the open look I wanted. They said I should put pillars and other things in. Sean wasn't like that, he listened to what I wanted and did it.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Sean Casey?
I definitely wanted everything open, no extras.
Did Sean introduce new ideas?
He did, yes. At first I wanted to keep a little raised green area around the outside edge of the concrete but after measuring up, Sean told me that if I did that I wouldn't be able to fit two cars comfortably in the driveway. I have a large jeep and a smaller car and the doors would have hit off the raised green area when I opened them. He measured it up, showed me and I was convinced. That was a good bit of advice!
How did the project run?
Very good. The whole project took just two and a half days and everything was cleaned up when they were finished. I have a center house and I was a little nervous about my neighbours if there was a mess but there never was. They cleaned up as they went along.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Caseys Concrete?
I just found Sean to be very helpful and compliant. I knew what I wanted done and he accomodated me. Sean was also very good at explaining everything he was doing. Another benefit was that Sean was able to recommend and arrange for someone very good to install my new gates.
What's your favourite part now?
The fact that I can comfortably get two cars in the driveway and there's no problem with them hitting off of anything. I'm vey pleased with how it all turned out.
Would you recommend Caseys Concrete to others?
I would, yes.
Any tips for other people?
It's not a job that takes a lot of time but you should expect a little bit of upheaval. Sean worked as neatly as he could on my driveway, cleaned up every day and I didn't have to do anything.
